Meet Jen McAllister, the fearless leader of Rise CPA & Accountants.
Jen has spent her life seeking after knowledge. She graduated with a BA in Business Management, a few years later decided to get a BA in Accounting. With an ever-growing family she continued her education and accomplished an MBA on the weekends, followed by months of grueling studying and passing of the CPA exams.
Jen has worked with a variety of businesses from: e-commerce, reclamation, technology, retail, government, dairy farming and others. She is passionate about helping others RISE, including the team of wonderful strong, smart women; the respected clients; and hopes to soon be able to help other women (young and old) rise to their full potential.
She has been happily married for 12 years to her husband, enjoying a blended family with 7 crazy grown-up kids and 2 daughter-in-laws. They love being active, and the highlight of each year is going to Lake Powell as a family. Jen has two additional furry kids – a Boxer and a Frenchie.
Sarah has a Bachelors in Business Administration from Cal Baptist University and has been working in finance/accounting for 15 years.
She has worked in many different industries such as e-commerce, real estate, retail, nonprofit, to name a few. She loves helping out clients
and getting their processes streamlined.
Sarah lives in California with her husband and two wild boys. She loves spending time with her family and travels whenever possible
Kristin graduated with a BS in Business Management with an emphasis in Finance from BYU in 2004. She has worked as a bookkeeper, controller, and CFO for a small business. With almost 20 years of experience in accounting, she has done a little bit of everything including HR, payroll, payroll tax, sales tax, AR, AP, month end reporting and financial analysis. She has been included on many executive teams and has worked closely with banks and outside accounting firms.
Kristin has worked with a variety of businesses including sporting goods, importers, e-commerce and manufacturers. Her experience in manufacturing over the last eight years has included experience in inventory management and profitability via cost reductions. She has been part of two ERP implementations and has experience with NetSuite and Microsoft Dynamics. Additionally, she has used QuickBooks Enterprise since 2003.
When she is not helping customers grow their business, she is a wife, a mom to four daughters, a runner and an avid sports fan. She loves to be outside and her family is her whole world.
Meet Sadie, our dedicated Bookkeeper. Sadie thrives in organization. Her attention to detail and her fun loving personality, add so much to our our team. She studied Business Management and Accounting at Utah Valley University and is currently at the University of Utah for Speech Pathology.
She loves being active and is always up for an adventure of any kind - especially traveling. She has a very big family whom she loves to spend time with. She laughs easily, is a joy to be around, and a solid member of our team.
Kirsten received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from BYU in 2007. Previously she has worked as the accountant for some real estate investing and rental companies. She loves learning and is currently enrolled in an accounting class at BYU.
Kirsten loves spending time with her family and especially loves being a mom to her six beautiful children. She loves to build and create things, her favorite being home improvement projects. She loves to run, ski, travel and read. Her most recent adventure has been raising backyard honeybees with her son.
Chelsie is a wife and a mother to 2 very energetic young boys. She loves spending time with her family outdoors. She loves spending time at the gym which helps her in her quest to be healthy and happy. She works hard and is very dedicated to doing things well. She is detail oriented and hungers to learn and accomplish new things. She also loves to build and create things, especially as it relates to home improvements.
Kim recently graduated with her BA in Accounting. She will be studying for the CPA exams in the coming months. She is wise beyond her years and very motivated and bright. She enjoys being outdoors and spending quality time with her friends and family.
Lynne has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Brigham Young University and a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Notre Dame. She spent four years at a Big 4 accounting firm and two years in the private sector managing the company’s internal audit department before she took some time away to raise her four amazing kids.
Lynne loves gathering with her big extended family as much as she can. She enjoys books and podcasts and is an avid baker who loves to feed people. She and her husband share a deep love of baseball and travel to several stadiums each year with a goal to visit them all.
Dawn has a Masters in Business Administration from ASU W.P. Carey School of Business and has been working in finance/accounting for over 20 years.
She has spent her life pursuing growth and development opportunities in various industries such as banking, government, treasury management, schools, gaming, hospitality, nonprofit, audit, business and finance. She also has a BS in Accounting. She also enjoys developing teams and future leaders especially strong, capable women.
Dawn has been happily married for 17 years to her husband, enjoying a blended family with 2 grown-up sons and 2 teenage sons. They are proud of their Native American heritage. They also love being active, and enjoy weight training, boxing, kickboxing, BJJ and other sports. They all also enjoy the oldest son’s 5 kids (Dawn’s grandkids). Dawn has one furry baby – a goldendoodle.
With over 20 years of bookkeeping experience and a career journey that’s taken April from bookkeeper to controller to CFO, she brings a deep understanding of what it takes to help businesses succeed. After earning an associate degree in paralegal studies, she quickly realized that accounting was her true passion—offering a better fit for her skills, personality, and interests. Over the years, April has worked with a wide range of businesses, from startups to established companies, across industries like construction, landscaping, security, hospitality, real estate, and more. She is known for being resourceful, detail-oriented, a fast learner, and someone who always brings consistency and dedication to their work.
Outside the office, April enjoys spending time with their Schipperke dog, participating in agility training, and volunteering at their local church and substance abuse recovery facilities. Her heart for helping others and passion for doing great work makes her a great fit!
Travis is a graduate of Southern Utah University with a Bachelors degree in Education. He spent his early career as an educator and high school football coach before spending the last 14 years working in sales/client development in the education, government contracts, merchant services, and heating & air industries. He is excited to be working with the team of amazing and talented women that make up Rise.
He loves being active with any kind of physical exercise, attending sporting events, and participating in outdoor activities with his family. With a background in sports and education, he has spent countless hours on the football field coaching others to achieve their goals. When not on the field or in the gym, you'll find him traveling with his wife Jen on their many adventures.
