Taylormade Miniature Golden Retrievers is a dedicated, family-operated breeding program based in the scenic Wasatch Front of Utah. Founded by Michele Taylor, the program began in 1989 when she was introduced to a litter of Golden Cocker Retrievers. One particular puppy, “Muffy,” inspired her to develop a healthier, smaller version of the beloved Golden Retriever, leading to the creation of the Mini Golden Retriever.
Compact, Health-Tested Mini Goldens with Low Shedding
Taylormade specializes in three sizes of Mini Golden Retrievers: Small, Petite, and Toy, with adult weights ranging from 15 to 50 pounds. These dogs are a hybrid of Golden Retrievers, Cocker Spaniels, and Poodles, aiming to retain the Golden’s charm while reducing size, shedding, and health issues. The program emphasizes health by conducting genetic testing through organizations like OFA, Embark DNA, and PennHip.
Early Stimulation, Health Guarantee, and Lifetime Support
Each puppy undergoes Early Neurological Stimulation from 3 to 16 days old to enhance development. They are also socialized with children and daily activities to ensure well-rounded temperaments. Puppies come with a 2-year health guarantee, early training, and a starter kit including food, toys, and a blanket. Located in Utah, Taylormade Miniature Golden Retrievers offers shipping options and maintains open communication with prospective owners. Due to high demand, their waitlist is currently full, but they maintain an open waitlist for future litters.
