Where Discipline Meets Heart at Central Utah Ballet in Lehi

When something is built with intention, you can feel it.

In Lehi, Utah, Central Utah Ballet has created more than a dance academy. They have built a place where classical training, mentorship, and personal growth come together in a meaningful way. For families looking for structured ballet education in Utah County, Central Utah Ballet offers something steady and thoughtful. It offers a path.

A Strong Foundation That Starts Early

Central Utah Ballet is a fully comprehensive, classically based ballet program serving youth ages three through eighteen, along with adult dancers.

Their programs include toddler ballet, children’s ballet, junior and senior company, pre professional training, and adult classes.

What truly sets Central Utah Ballet apart in Lehi is how seriously they approach foundational training. Their youngest students are taught by their most experienced instructor, Jennie Creer King herself. That decision speaks volumes.

Proper alignment, strong technique, and healthy habits are introduced from the very beginning. When dancers start right, they build confidence. They also avoid having to relearn technique later. Parents notice that difference quickly.

More Than Classes. A Mentorship Philosophy.

At Central Utah Ballet in Lehi, the focus is not just on steps and choreography. The curriculum is intentionally designed to support each dancer’s emotional and physical development.

The faculty brings substantial professional dance careers and advanced degrees in choreography, pedagogy, and performance. Students receive both classical and contemporary training in an environment that is structured but supportive.

Through company programs and live stage performance opportunities, dancers gain discipline, stage presence, and resilience.

It is serious training delivered with care.

Leadership That Sets the Standard

Central Utah Ballet was founded by Jennie Creer King, an award winning dancer, instructor, and choreographer whose career spans more than two decades.

Over the years, she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ballet Performance and a Master of Fine Arts in Teaching Pedagogy and Choreography from the University of Utah. In addition, her professional experience includes Ballet West and Oregon Ballet Theatre.

During her time as Assistant Professor of Dance and Artistic Director of BYU Theatre Ballet, she re staged classical repertoire and created eleven world premieres. Notably, her original ballet Goldilocks Adventure toured nationally and reached more than eleven thousand students through outreach performances.

From 2004 to 2014, she owned and operated Classical Ballet Academy in Provo, growing the studio to three hundred dancers and a team of seven instructors. At the same time, she established Provo Civic Ballet, a pre professional company that developed dancers who later performed nationally and internationally.

As a result of her work, her honors include the Youth American Grand Prix Best School Award, Best of State awards in choreography and youth performance, and the Presidential Teacher Recognition Award presented in Washington DC. Beyond those recognitions, she also held the title of Mrs. Utah United States and used that platform to reach more than five thousand elementary students through fine arts advocacy.

Today, as Owner and Artistic Director of Central Utah Ballet in Lehi, she continues to emphasize a holistic approach to training.

Her words reflect that heart clearly.

“It is not my place to transform students into my personal aesthetic, rather to guide and inspire them to discover their own stories.”

A Shared Commitment to Growth

At Rise CPA and Accountants, we are drawn to organizations that build with clarity and intention.

Central Utah Ballet reflects the same principles we value in business. Strong foundations. Long term vision. Disciplined growth.

A Clear Path Forward in Lehi

Central Utah Ballet in Lehi offers more than weekly classes. With junior and senior companies, pre professional programs, and collaboration with Chrysalis Ballet, students experience steady progression and real stage opportunities within a professional environment.
